This book takes the AT89S51/52 microcontroller as the main body and comprehensively and systematically introduces the working principle, basic application and design and development technology of the MCS-51 core microcontroller. The content includes an overview of the microcontroller, the structure and working principle of the microcontroller, the instruction system and assembly language programming of the microcontroller, the C language programming of the microcontroller, the interrupt system, timer/counter, the serial interface of the microcontroller, the system expansion of the microcontroller and the design of the microcontroller application system. This book will study and practice the two important software tools Proteus and Keil C of microcontrollers throughout. The programming is mainly based on C51 language, which facilitates readers to understand and master the principles and applications of microcontrollers, and also makes the teaching of microcontrollers no longer boring. This book has a reasonable system layout, concise content, and typical examples. Each chapter has a summary, exercises, and thinking questions to facilitate readers' learning. This book can be used as a teaching material or teaching reference book for electrical and electronic information, machinery, and computer majors in higher engineering colleges. It can also be used as a training material and self-study reference book for microcontroller technical training and for those engaged in microcontroller embedded system designers.

Through this book, I can understand the working principles and applications of microcontrollers, and also learn the use of two tool software, Proteus and Keil C. Moreover, the content in the book is well organized and the examples are typical, making it easy to understand. I think this book is very suitable for people like me who are interested in electronic information systems. It reminds me of the book "Electronic Design from Scratch", which is also practical and beneficial. However, I don't really like those that are too theoretical, and I hope this book has more practical parts.
