Year 31 of the Yuanwu era.
Japanese pirates invaded the Wu Kingdom from Yanzhou.
Three thousand heavily armored cavalry rode out from Shanhe Pass. They wore black armor, rode black horses, carried black-shafted spears, and covered their faces with opera masks depicting military heroes. Led by a young man and raising the black Anti-Pirate Banner high, they slew countless pirates!
Many years later, Su Qin stood at Shanhe Pass and looked back at the Wu Kingdom.
He had once been a wastrel everyone despised,
a wealthy merchant whose riches rivaled a kingdom’s,
and a sword that struck fear into the court!
But every step of the way had been built upon mountains of bones...
The ending ends too quickly!
There is blood and flesh, and it moves people.
