Shang Yang was in power for nearly twenty years in the Qin State, which made the Qin State, which was located in the northwest corner of China's territory and was once "regarded by barbarians and Di", become a prosperous and powerful country. Later generations followed his laws and gradually took an advantageous position in the struggle for hegemony. More than a hundred years later, Qin Shihuang's unification of China was closely related to the solid foundation laid by Shang Yang's reform.
"The Book of Shang Jun", also known as "Shang Jun" and "Shang Zi", is one of the representative works of the Legalist school. It solves the problem of theoretical support for the reform, including macro theoretical explanations, as well as detailed laws and military regulations. Although there are not many words, the content is complex and involves many major issues such as economy, politics, military, and rule of law.
