This story is entirely fictional. Please don’t associate it with real people. It’s just for entertainment!

One day, the Ninth Prince complained to Lord Su: “They say I ought to take a princess consort. I hear the Prime Minister’s daughter is a fine choice.”

The very next day, word spread that the Prime Minister’s daughter had been promised to someone else.

On another day, a court official said, “Your Highness, your household cannot remain without a mistress! My daughter is both virtuous and talented. If she pleases you, I’ll send her to you.”

The next day, news broke that the young lady had renounced the world and entered a convent.

Then one day, another court official advised, “Your Majesty, you cannot leave the throne without an heir!”

The Prince Regent, standing at the head of the left-hand row, instantly drew his sword and pressed it against the man’s neck. “The empire is not yet secure. His Majesty must not be distracted by beauty. Anyone who dares raise this again will be executed without mercy!”

Gu Chenxi, the Prince of War standing at the head of the right-hand row, could only twitch his lips. “Ha. So much for not being distracted by beauty!”

In the end, he held power over the entire court! He donned the imperial robes! His renown as a God of War spread far and wide, striking fear into every neighboring nation!
