The Metaphysics Master Says She's Going to Hang Herself on a Southern Branch

[Mystery] [Slightly Spooky Supernatural Elements] [Comedy]

When Mao Xinghe was twelve, she met a crazy old man who said she was trapped in a deadly predicament and would die at sixteen, her corpse abandoned in the wilderness and left incomplete. She didn't believe him, but at sixteen, she really was trapped in an ancient tomb after an accident and nearly lost her life.

To break free of her predicament and survive, she embarked on the path of cultivation. Then another old Taoist warned her that she was caught in a deadly trap, like someone with their neck in a noose someone else had set. If she cultivated, it would be like kicking away the stool beneath her feet and hurrying to her own death. Furious, Mao Xinghe tied a branch from the southeast onto herself and, right in front of the old Taoist, put on a show of how sheer strength could work miracles!
