This is the second time I read this novel. The last time I read it was on another website. It is very well written, describing the darkness and helplessness of that historical era, and the unyielding struggle of the Chinese people during the Anti-Japanese War. Although it's not my favorite battle for hegemony, it's still quite exciting and worth reading.
