Demian: a Wandering Boyhood

This book resonated with me. The main character, Sinclair, went through a lot of confusion and struggles in the process of finding himself, just like we do when we are growing up. Demian's appearance was like a bright light, guiding him to the right path. The two worlds in the book also made me deeply realize that life not only has a bright and beautiful side, but also darkness and complexity. This book makes me cherish the warmth around me more and face the difficulties in life bravely.

After reading it, our understanding of life has gone one step further. I agree with Sinclair's "two worlds". I thought so too when I was a child. Sinclair grows up step by step, and cannot do without Demian's guidance. In fact, every time I see "I" meet Demian, I feel more excited than the protagonist. At first, I thought that Demian helped the protagonist solve Cromer's torture, which was redemption, but slowly, I felt that it was not only redemption, but also the starting point of self-growth. Overall, I really like Demian, he and Sinclair are simply meant to be (not love), they both explore their inner world while being resigned to the outer world.
