[A Touch of Fantasy + The Luckiest Koi + Childhood Friends + National-Treasure-Level Darling]
The only koi spirit in the Three Realms longed for the prosperity of the human world, so she secretly slipped down to be reborn into the Li family of Wa Chi Village.
The poor, unlucky Li family stopped having bad luck after their little granddaughter Hong Jin was born. Their luck even became far better than that of ordinary people.
Anyone who treated Hong Jin well would become lucky too; anyone who harbored ill will toward her would suffer one mishap after another.
As Hong Jin grew up, word of her good fortune spread farther and farther, eventually reaching the capital. Wherever Hong Jin went, the odds of everything succeeding doubled. After testing it several times, the capital’s bigwigs finally confirmed that Hong Jin’s koi luck was real.
Spies spread the news abroad, alarming other countries. They sent people to kidnap or assassinate her, but whether they sent killers or people with supernatural abilities, they all met with one mishap after another.
And so Hong Jin went from being the darling of one village to a national-treasure-level darling.
Still, one thing puzzled Hong Jin: why were Brother Hui’s friends so often bruised and battered? She couldn’t sense any malice from them! What was going on?
The answer didn’t come until the day Hong Jin got married.
