Lu Youjun, daughter of a warlord in Shangbei, was the family’s only child. She had to dress as a boy from a young age and was raised like one. The old warlord of Shangbei had high hopes for her, wishing that one day she would unite China.
With the nation on the brink of collapse and warlords entrenched everywhere, she studied abroad alone, determined to master the skills to defend her homeland and find a way to save the country.
When she returned, she took over from her stepfather and became the famous warlord of Shangbei, known throughout China. No one knew that the warlord was actually a woman. She dreamed of uniting China one day and giving its people a peaceful home.
During a war with Xianan, she was simply too young. Her own ranks had already been corrupted, and she was shot, fell into the moat, and drifted into the Xianan region, having lost all her memories. By a twist of fate, she was sold to the Bai family as a bondservant and concubine maid.
The eldest son of the Bai family was named Bai Jingrun. He was a man of extraordinary bearing, but in truth he was ruthless and merciless, a genuine businessman who pursued his own interests in troubled times. Their meeting, between two people with irreconcilable aims, may have been chance, or perhaps it was inevitable. What sparks will fly between them?
Attracted by the introduction. When I saw the first few chapters, I thought they were well written. I thought it was going to be a passionate story about how a female warlord heroically saved the country in troubled times. I was looking forward to it and it was novel. As I read later, I realized that I was wrong. The content became more and more verbose, and there were too many inner activities in the characters. I wrote a lot of stories about the heroine marrying into the hero's house after amnesia and engaging in house fights, and falling in love with the hero in a conventional way (similar to the paranoid love of the ancient overbearing president and the silly and sweet heroine), and then a lot of nonsense about the elders of the hero's family. It's okay, but the front is a bit blurry.
I just skipped the amnesia part. The rest is pretty good. The heroine is decisive in killing. I like to regain my memory.
