The two debuted young and worked together. Their feelings onscreen were sincere and passionate, and they were widely hailed as the entertainment industry's dream couple.

Just when everyone expected sparks to fly between them, no one imagined that after becoming famous, Mu Yan would go abroad to compete on a talent show, successfully debut overseas, and become a member of a top-tier girl group.

Mu Yan's name became famous throughout Asia, and her group even broke onto the international scene and won a major international award. Yet just then, she gave up the stage and returned home to start over as an actress.

Meanwhile, Gu Beijin, the youngest three-time Golden Award-winning actor in domestic entertainment, not only broke his rule against appearing on variety shows, but was also caught on camera by paparazzi kissing a mysterious woman on the street.

Just as netizens thought the two had missed their chance, someone claiming to be in the know secretly revealed photos of them passionately in love at university.

Gu Beijin went even further, posting an intimate photo of himself and Mu Yan on Weibo.

“Past and future, always with you.”

“Seen. Keep up the good work.”
