Myth Descends: I Slay the Gods with a Mortal Body

(Though the sky be dyed with blood, I shall have no regrets. I swear to ascend to the heavens and slay the gods.) What will happen when figures from mythology suddenly descend upon the world? The gods sit enthroned in the Heavenly Court. They have divinity, but no humanity, and seek to rule the world. The Western Heaven’s Spirit Mountain is filled with demonic energy, and the Buddhas have lost their compassion. The Underworld of Fengdu has lost its restraints. Countless ghosts have entered the mortal world, baring their fangs. The gods want to restore the glory they enjoyed countless years ago, treating mortals as their followers and slaves and controlling their lives and deaths. But the gods soon discover that these mortals are no longer what they once were. They dare to raise their swords against the gods. They even dare to slay them. Li Jun is a mere mortal who inherits the will of his forebears and declares war on Heaven. My body is the boundary stone. The land beneath my feet is my homeland. As long as I stand, the gods shall not take another step. Gods, draw your swords!
