Eight years ago, Miss Pang Doudou of the Pang family was playing by the river when she happened to rescue Dugu Xingcheng, the young master of Ghost City, who had been gravely wounded. When Dugu Xingcheng left after recovering, he gave her a jade dragon pendant as a token of his gratitude, promising to marry the Pang family's daughter, Pang Doudou, eight years later. In the blink of an eye, eight years passed and the wedding date drew near. To escape this inexplicable engagement, Pang Doudou began her long journey of running away from the wedding.
“Young master, Miss Pang is about to enter the Beidou Forest.”
“Catch her and dump her back at the Pang residence.”
“Young master, Miss Pang is about to reach Xingji City.”
“Catch her and dump her back at the Pang residence.”
“Young master, Miss Pang is about to arrive at Wupeng Stockade.”
“Catch her and dump her back at the Pang residence.”
“Young master, Miss Pang…”
“Catch her and dump her back at the Pang residence.”
“Miss Pang has disappeared.”
“What?” Dugu Xingcheng flew into a rage. The little girl he had waited eight years for, after all his effort, had disappeared?
“Someone, issue the Ghost Talisman Order! Put Pang Doudou on the wanted list. A thousand taels of gold for anyone who provides a lead. Anyone who injures Pang Doudou will die.”
“Achoo! Who's talking about me? Dugu Xingcheng, you bastard. Let's see how you'll find me this time.” The handsome young man in white urged his horse on and galloped straight into Ghost City.
