Cang Jia transmigrated into a civil-service-exam novel as a minor female character opposite the male lead after he turns dark: a beautiful cannon-fodder character who appears only twice, once when she's sold and once when she dies.
Luckily, the male lead hadn't turned dark yet, so she wouldn't die just yet.
But Cang Jia landed right in the middle of a crisis. People outside were waiting to sell her and the male lead's younger sisters.
To stay alive, Cang Jia rolled up her sleeves and teamed up with her timid aunt, her young cousin, and the male lead, a man as elegant as moonlight, to outwit their vile relatives and open a restaurant to support the family.
At long last, the male lead passed the imperial examination and came first. Cang Jia escaped her tragic fate, packed her bags, and prepared to leave, only to have the two younger girls cling to her legs.
The two sisters of the Lin family sobbed, “Sister-in-law, don't go.”
Their mother, Lin's mother, said, “Cang Jia...”
Even the male lead, Lin Yunwu, had reddened eyes. His usually cool voice trembled like the fragile whimper of a wounded young beast. “My dear, are you leaving me?”
Cang Jia clutched her pounding chest. How could anyone resist that?
Except for the author's cliffhanger ending, this book is okay!
It's a sweet short story, but the ending is summarized in just a few sentences, which is too hasty.
The ending is so quick... The identity of the heroine is not yet clear.
The article is good, but it is too short, and the ending is as fast as a rocket... In fact, if it is well written, I am looking forward to the emotional line between man and woman.
It was pretty good, but it ended too quickly.
It's good-looking, but there are no emotional scenes between the male and female protagonists.
One star less is because the original owner was slandered and framed by his family, but nothing happened to that family [rolls eyes]
This book is very nice, but has only one flaw. It just ended very hastily.
The beginning was okay, but it ended suddenly. Did the author not want to write anymore and then wrote an outline?
It looks great, please give it a thumbs up to the author
