I can feel that the author is trying his best to write about the glory and darkness of human beings in captivity by alien races. This is a masterpiece that wants to write an epic of blood and tears. The final ending is unique. Most of the first chapters of the book only cover events within a thousand years, while in the last two or three chapters, events of 120,000 years are skimmed over with very few words, just like historical records. Finally, it ends abruptly with a writing method of inheritance cycle. When you first finish reading it, you may feel that it is abrupt, unfinished, and boring.
