To the World Where You Are

Ji Sinian loves someone, but he can never say it aloud.

His old illness returns.

He keeps protecting her where she can’t see him.

Ji Huai is Ji Sinian’s lazy little cat.

Now that he has a cat, he ought to get a dog too.

Looking at the little golden retriever he has bought, he says gently, “She loves strawberries, so let’s call you Strawberry.”

Ji Sinian: “Strawberry, do you think I can hold on until she comes back?”

“I can definitely do it, right?”

“A Huai, I miss you so much. So, so much.”

Ji Huai loves someone too, but he cruelly rejects her on the very day she works up the courage to confess.

She goes abroad to study,

winning award after award,

but she still finds herself thinking of him when she least expects it.

One day, she decides to let go.

Ji Huai: “Ji Sinian, I’m giving up on you.”

“Ji Sinian, you liar.”

“Ji Sinian, I like strawberries because of you!”

It isn’t until much later that she learns just how deeply he loves her.

He even knelt before Buddha to beg for her life.

He hopes Buddha will keep her safe and well for all her days, free from worry year after year.

Through more than six thousand days and nights of endless repetition,

Ji Sinian will always love Ji Huai.
