At the Interview, I Discover My Dad Is the Chairman

My name is Chen Feng. I’m the chairman of Taihong Group and the company’s real power behind the scenes.

I have a daughter, and I wanted her to have the very best and feel safe using it. So I started with diapers and kept expanding my business until the company’s operations covered every aspect of life.

My name is Chen Xi. I’ve always had excellent grades, and my parents love and dote on me.

But they’re always telling me what to do. I want to get away and live the way I choose, and prove to them that I’m capable too. So I applied for a job at Taihong Group, hoping to make something of myself there.

Unexpectedly, after joining the group, I found that everything seemed almost too good to be true. The executives and my coworkers treated me so well that I felt just like I was at home.

Until one day, I discovered that my dad’s personal care products company was actually part of Taihong Group.

“Happy birthday, Dad. I bought you some new clothes.”

“Dad, you’re the best. Let me take you out for lobster.”

“Dad, you’re so wonderful. I’m going to buy you a phone.”

“Dad, I want to buy a car.”

Chen Feng: “Sweetheart, we make all this stuff ourselves. Why are you being so formal?”

Chen Xi: “Dad, is there any industry my family hasn’t gotten into?”

Chen Feng: “I don’t think so.”
