Robot

The story takes place in a future era of advanced technology. Robots can already help people with many tasks, such as sanitation and firefighting, and they perform exceptionally well. That year, a robotics company receives a license for civilian use and officially begins selling its products to the public. The robots continue to perform admirably, helping people in every aspect of life, but this only makes humanity more dependent on them. The company then uses its robots to begin controlling people.

A university student named Jiabao originally joins the company to investigate it. But the benefits and working conditions turn out to be so good that he abandons his original purpose. When his contract expires, however, the company refuses to let him leave. Eventually, Jiabao’s younger brother Jiahao also studies his way into the company to find him, and the two escape together. The robots relentlessly hunt them down, forcing them to hide wherever they can. Their family is eventually harmed as well, and they decide to fight back. They return to the company and use technology to reset the robots to their original commercial-release state...
