After graduating, Cheng Lei is assigned to Africa, where he “accidentally” meets Masako Hirakawa, the eldest daughter of a Japanese financial dynasty. She takes a “liking” to him, but Cheng Lei already has a fiancée, Fu Yunying. Yet after Cheng Lei and Masako spend a reckless night together on Mount Kilimanjaro, his first love and his new flame end up competing for his affection. A series of misunderstandings eventually forces Cheng Lei and Fu Yunying to break up. With Masako’s help, however, Cheng Lei gradually reveals his extraordinary business acumen. As they face one business rival after another, Cheng Lei and Masako fight side by side, surviving one close call after another as their feelings grow. In the end, Cheng Lei defeats his many competitors and builds his own business empire.
