After being confined in the Cold Palace for five years, Sheng Qingchen emerges with two gifted little children by her side.
Five years ago, she was timid and dull, disliked by everyone, and the spoiled, overbearing legitimate daughter of the prime minister's household in Yunjing.
Five years later, her exquisite medical skills make her the talk of Yunjing, and princes and young noblemen flock to her.
So every day, Sheng Qingchen schemes to get her divorce from the prince and make her dream of marrying again come true!
One day, the cold and proud prince who rules Yunjing corners her against a wall.
Shangguan Jue: “Everyone in Yunjing says the princess consort is fickle and always chasing someone new.”
Sheng Qingchen, utterly confused: “?”
Shangguan Jue: “They also say you are an unfaithful wife.”
Sheng Qingchen: “...”
Shangguan Jue: “And that the children's parentage is a mystery.”
Sheng Qingchen: “You're talking nonsense! I clearly built my reputation as a virtuous and gracious woman, with every good quality under the sun!”
The man before her smiles wickedly. “Then let's prove it.”
