Chronicles of the New Moon: The Owl Awakens, and the World Falls

Well, that's a long story!

Chaos had given way to order, and the dust of the ages had settled. Mountains and rivers, lakes and seas, flowers and trees, birds and beasts: only humans had awakened their minds. They fashioned tools from wood and stone, learned to farm and hunt, and multiplied and thrived.

Over a million years, people gathered with their own kind, and human tribes gradually took shape. Tools, language, and diets continued to evolve and grow more varied. As populations expanded and grew stronger, great tribes emerged. The soil was fertile, the forests dense, and the land rich in resources. With no other tribes to trouble them, they quickly put down roots and enjoyed several hundred years of peace.

Then one day, the tribe's wise elder returned from his travels with an orphan of unknown origins...
