Liang Wen, a decorated soldier king, returns home on leave to find his parents gravely injured after being beaten. Enraged, he single-handedly wipes out the criminal gang responsible. But as a result, he is court-martialed, discharged from the military, and sentenced to a year in prison.

After serving his sentence, he is invited by a fellow soldier to G City. He is inadvertently drawn into a conflict among several factions, and his friend is framed and sent to prison. Using his exceptional skills and quick wits, Liang Wen clears his friend’s name, but he also attracts the attention of a mysterious department, which recruits him. To bring down the drug traffickers in one fell swoop, he willingly goes undercover, pushing forward under threats from both sides of the law. Time and again, he escapes deadly traps, only to face death once more. How will he choose when confronted with threats from his enemies and the safety of his loved ones? And what will he do when his former brothers in arms become criminals?
