Reborn: Putting Technology to Work for the People

Zhu Dazhi, a section chief at the Bureau of Construction, is unexpectedly reborn in 1994. This is the story of how he starts a business with five million yuan in lottery winnings. Told from the perspective of a middle-aged man, it features a powerful mid-level official at an influential institution. There won’t be any showing off or face-slapping, nor any childish love stories. To put it bluntly, nine out of ten people in the country could never reach his level, and they’ve never seen or enjoyed the things he has, either. He donates to build Hope Primary Schools and manufactures products such as bladeless fans, VCD players, and USB drives. He also develops software, including chat tools and games. In the internet age, he strives to make all kinds of things part of everyday life. Technological development should serve the people.
