In 1953, among the four exploratory wells in Heiyoushan, except for Well No. 2, Which sprayed crude oil and then stopped, the other three failed to obtain industrial oil flows with mining value. So in 1954, the Sino-Soviet Petroleum Company sent a geological team to conduct another exploration. After this exploration, the geological team clearly stated that the area has good oil prospects and recommended detailed geophysical surveys and exploratory well drilling.
