Based on my long-term observations, the second point, that the price evolves in a trend manner, can be changed to that the price evolves in a structural manner. At least, my own technical analysis is based on this view. I believe that structure encompasses trends. The price structure is multi-layered, with an external structure that is easier to observe and an internal structure that is more difficult to discover. I discovered important inner structures more than ten years ago. These structures are stable and tenaciously hidden in price fluctuations of all cycles and levels.
