Unofficial History of China: Secret History of the Imperial Court

It contains historical records and legends that have been widely circulated for thousands of years from the pre-Qin Dynasty to the Republic of China. The language is popular and vivid, and the events are clean and realistic. Unofficial history is an important aspect of Chinese historical heritage. After the Tang and Song dynasties, they flourished. When the Ming and Qing dynasties came, the number increased dramatically, reaching no less than 2,000 or 3,000 species. This led to the frequent publication of compilations and publications on unofficial histories, which became a prominent phenomenon in the development of historiography. Although there is no classification under the name "unofficial history" in general bibliographies, unofficial history as a concept with a wide range of Chinese meanings and writing scope has long existed.
