This book is rich in content and covers many aspects of Chinese history. However, the torture instruments mentioned in it are really creepy! I especially hate those cruel instruments of torture, such as iron pincers and shackles. But I really like some historical stories in the book, which can help me understand the past better. All in all, this is a valuable book, but some of the content will make you feel uncomfortable.
