This book is very detailed and introduces the origin, development and characteristics of various percussion instruments. The writing style is easy to understand, like a good friend chatting to you. The writing is concise and smooth, making it easy to understand. I think it is a bit like the book "The Story of Music", which tells music knowledge in a relaxed way. The book also mentioned cymbals, which reminded me of the gong and drum troupe in folk art. The passion and energy of those drummers when playing was really contagious. All in all, this is a good introductory book to music.
