An old Beijinger says: "Third points look, seven points dress." The implication is that human appearance is formed innately, and beauty depends on acquired artificial modifications, including dressing, wearing hats, growing hair, applying makeup, etc.

This book is really interesting! It made me understand the clothing culture of old Beijing, and reminded me of the detailed descriptions of the clothing of various characters in "A Dream of Red Mansions". As the book says, "30% looks, 70% dressing", clothing can indeed reflect a person's personality and taste. I have a friend who is very good at dressing up. He dresses very stylishly every day and makes people look eye-catching. This book also made me realize that dressing appropriately is also very important when looking for a job!
