A cholera epidemic made the surly Mary an orphan. She had to be sent to live with her uncle Mr. Clermont at Clermont Manor in Yorkshire, England. Mr. Clermont was saddened by the death of his wife and became gloomy, weird and depressed. His manor had hundreds of locked houses and a secret garden that no one was allowed to enter for 10 years. Mary unexpectedly finds the door and key to the secret garden with the help of a robin, and she also hears a mysterious cry, which attracts her to explore the mystery of the manor. The boy who heard the cry was named Colin. Everyone thought he was not far from death. However, with Mary's help, Colin felt the warmth of life and learned to run and laugh in the secret garden.

There is a secret garden in everyone's heart. There are roses, green trees, robins and squirrels. I hope we can all retain our childlike innocence, protect our secret gardens, and make it full of sunshine and life.
A story about the magic of nature and the beauty of the heart
This book is like a magical world, making me feel the magic and power of nature. I was deeply inspired by Mary's bravery and Colin's change. Especially the sentence in the book "When you face the sun, the shadow is always behind you" reminds me of the days when I struggled for my dreams. Whenever I encounter difficulties, I will think of this sentence and tell myself to face it bravely and believe that the sunshine is always after the storm. This is a book that brings warmth and strength to people and is worth reading.
