The story takes Kohler, a lone wolf who has lost only his family, as the protagonist. It tells an inspirational legend of how he strives for self-improvement, accumulates wisdom in difficulties, improves his will in trials, and finally becomes a mighty wolf king and makes the "Wolf Kingdom" grow continuously.
Kohler has no ambition to be the king, nor does he have any plan to trample others under his feet. He just tries his best to make himself better: improve hunting skills, learn wolf etiquette, integrate into the group, temper perseverance and courage, and become a real man. When everything was done, he became the wolf king of course, because no wolf was better than him.
