A Redemption Planned in Advance

Some people say we should make a living before looking for love. But how can someone make a living when they don’t even have the courage to go on living?

This is a carefully planned rescue in which both sides find salvation.

Lin Yi plans to save Xia Ji, while Xia Ji plans to make Lin Yi hers.

Xia Ji: “I must have done something incredible in a past life to meet someone as lovely as you in this one. I hide my weakness and timidity beneath your light, and your warmth wraps around me. It makes me desperate to claim you as my own.”

Lin Yi: “Without you, my soul might have rotted away long ago. You’re the one who gave me courage.”

The heroine at first: I like you, but I’m a coward. Love? Do I deserve to have it?

The heroine later: Lin Yi has to be mine.

Absolutely delicious.
