The Demon Cat Jiuli

Since ancient times, it has been a hundred times harder for demons to cultivate and become immortals than it is for humans. Throughout the ages, countless demon cultivators have perished beneath the heavenly tribulation. The road to immortality has always been a path where nine out of ten perish.

Jiuli, a nine-lived demon cat who had cultivated for ten thousand years in the demon realm, was struck by heavenly lightning and lost all nine lives. Just as her soul was about to scatter, the Way of Heaven took pity on how hard she had worked and on the fact that she had never wantonly killed the innocent. It granted her a chance at survival: she would cultivate through nine lifetimes in the Cycle Mirror, protecting a virtuous person in their tenth lifetime, whose fate was full of hardship, and ensuring they enjoyed seven fortunate lifetimes. In doing so, she would accumulate merit and attain enlightenment.
