Twelve Years a Slave

The film of the same name won the Oscar for Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and the Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Film, and has an excellent reputation. "Twelve Years a Slave" comes from Solomon's personal experience. He was originally a free black man living in New York State, but was abducted and kidnapped and began his life as a slave. The publication of this book influenced the subsequent abolition movement in the United States and influenced modern American history. It was included in American history textbooks and required reading lists for students. Together with another famous book "Uncle Tom's Cabin", it is called an immortal classic that promoted the abolition process.
