At sixteen, Jiang Jin found the cloth doll she loved most.
She did everything she could to take good care of it, afraid it might get thirsty, cold, or hungry.
Everyone waited to see Jiang Jin make a fool of herself, wondering how long she could keep this up.
Jiang Jin didn’t care. She kept doting on her doll as always, indulging its little moods.
As time passed, the onlookers got used to it. They got used to the doll at Jiang Jin’s side, and even the doll itself came to believe it was the only one for Jiang Jin.
Then one day, Jiang Jin got tired of it and tossed the doll in her hands aside.
Very well written.
