The Book of Songs Translation and Annotation

This book is translated and annotated by the famous scholar Professor Cheng Junying. It introduces 305 poems to readers in full. In addition to the original poem, each poem includes three parts: title explanation, annotation and translation. Each explanation adopts the attitude of "discussing poetry based on poetry", clarifying the background and purpose of the poem, and eliminating the far-fetched explanations of ancient scriptures. The annotations are easy to understand, and all unfamiliar words have phonetic notations. Only the modern pronunciation is noted, not the ancient pronunciation. The original text is accurately and fluently translated into new poetry with gorgeous writing, and the translation is sentence by sentence to facilitate comparison with the original text. It can be said to be a must-read for beginners to the Book of Songs.
