While Shen Yizhao was making wedding preparations, Gu Xi gave him a parting gift: she broke up with him over the phone and vanished without a trace.
Five years later, Shen Yizhao had become a hugely popular Best Actor, with over a hundred million fans.
A trending topic about a C-list actress confessing her love for the top star online at night set the entire entertainment industry ablaze. Just as everyone assumed she would be blacklisted, another trending topic made waves across the internet: the C-list actress and the Best Actor were appearing on the same variety show.
During a game on the show, an obscure celebrity asked Shen Yizhao, “I heard Best Actor Shen has never dated anyone?”
The next second, the man looked at the person across from him, who had their head lowered and looked rather aggrieved.
“That’s a rumor. After that girl got together with me, she wasn’t satisfied. She broke up with me and vanished without a trace. She wouldn’t even let me see her.”
That night, the livestream sent the whole internet digging into Best Actor Shen’s first love, and the commotion was enormous.
Only when someone posted a photo of Gu Xi, the C-list actress, kissing Shen Yizhao at university did the entire internet fall silent.
Had these two been putting on a show online all this time? Were they blatantly making all of us fans eat dog food?
