The details of the case are explained very clearly, and I like the two characters Gu Chen and Shi Ying very much. Although there are many killing plots, they are not bloody. On the contrary, the understanding, trust and warmth between the characters allow the protagonist who is supposed to harbor deep hatred to plant the seeds of great love in the readers. People should not live with hatred in their hearts for the rest of their lives. They should learn to let go of whatever they should let go of.
I quite like this work. I was originally reading "Crime", but after listening to several cases, the scenes were too bloody, and the details of solving the cases were ended in just a few sentences. It was baffling. I gave up after reading it a few times, and I don't want to read it anymore. So, I searched for "Inquiry of Crime". Although the investigation only revolves around one main case, it is really well written. Among the dozens of criminal investigation works I have read, this is one of the few that I like.
