In Year 10 of the Previous Era, the Heavenly Alliance, formed by Huaguo and the Northern Kingdom, fought a century-long war against the Western Alliance, made up of the Atlantic nations. Superpowered individuals from government forces and the civilian world alike were mobilized in full. The conflict became known as the Apocalypse War. Near the end of the war, the various factions suddenly reached a secret agreement. Every superpowered individual in the world vanished without a trace. In the end, each government decided to rule within its own borders, signing the Apocalypse Treaty and concealing the truth about what had happened.
In Year 20 of the New Era, one hundred years later, a three-month-long snowfall in Huaguo heralded the return of the age of superpowers.
