This book tells the story of three villages along the Maotiao River in the mountainous areas of Guizhou. The three villages, Gu Town, Nuo Village and Tiger Leaping Gorge, respectively represent three important traditional cultural heritages of Guizhou - Gu magic, Nuo opera and hanging coffins. The novel does not describe these three mysterious traditional cultures with regional characteristics in detail, but tells the story of the demise of these traditional cultures and the decline of the countryside where they were born through the fate of their last inheritors. The novel is full of conflicts, and every step of the plot development directly points to the changes in the world and people's hearts during the evolution of civilization. It is a rare work with strong humanistic sentiments.

This book is really beautiful. When I read this book, I felt like I was eating boiled gluten, which seemed bland at first glance. But when you chew it carefully, it feels sweet and chewy, making you want to continue reading. This book uses three stories to write about the disappearance of a village with less affluent soil. I have never experienced those things, so I don't really understand their thoughts in the book. I just felt a little heavy after reading it. Although the land in this place is poor, they have found a way of survival of their own. This may be the miracle of life!
Gu Town, Nuo Opera, Xuan Pavilion...
Forgotten culture is resurrected in words. The most simple words originate from the purest leisure time. The lines are filled with profound traditions, but they shine with simple language and inconspicuous daily life.
There are not many chapters, but they are worth savoring carefully. There is divinity and ghostliness in the ordinary. When you get on stage, you are a god, and when you get off the stage, you are a human being. It is also a good help for accumulating material, and the sentences in it are also worth accumulating and learning.
In short, two words, beautiful!
You will have new thoughts about life. The three chapters are a bit heavy, but this book really gave me a lot to think about. And this book is really well written and makes people cry easily. As a Guizhou boy, my mother used to scold me for cutting off my head. This book is really kind and brings back memories of my childhood at home. Although some of the stories in it are mysterious, the emotions of the characters are real. It was real even when I cried while reading it. It is a book I like very much. I love so much. Thank you to the author for bringing us such a sincere book.
The stories of Gu Town, Nuo Village and Tiger Leaping Cliff are independent but have the same soul, showing the unique culture and life in Guizhou mountainous areas. The protagonist of the three-chapter story realizes the "connection between life and death" in his own faith, sees the "way he came from" and sees the "way he goes out". Believe in the power of belief, folk culture is also a viewing platform for a glimpse of the past glory in the era of Dharma.
This book was destined to not receive much reviews when it appeared on Tomato. It should be a paper book. On the bookshelf, you can always feel the warmth of your hands with the people and things in the book. A good book. About the years and ancestors, about people's origins and future.
The writing is really good. I want to buy a physical copy to collect. The author's writing style is very good. Although the story is simple, it has a sad but not sad beauty. It is really unfinished. It is so lonely [I almost cry]
The changing light and shadow are the wheels of time, and every strange and vivid face is reflected in the sudden change. No matter where you go, the direction of your home remains unchanged... [Like]
His love and persistence for traditional culture are touching. And the storyline is very attractive. By describing Wang Changlin's experience, we can feel the charm of traditional culture and the changes in the countryside. Overall, this is a very in-depth and meaningful book that is worth reading.
"Nuo Mian" is a novel with a rustic flavor. The description of the characters, the portrayal of the heart, and the original language dialogue... Are worth reading. Learned.
Destiny points to destiny, life points to life
The ending was very shocking and moved me [crying]
Seeing different ways of life, they are thriving, adhering to their beliefs, and following the laws of this land.
The language is very distinctive and the story is confusing
