The F6F "Hellcat" fighter jet was developed and produced by Grumman Corporation. It was the fighter jet with the best comprehensive performance of the U. S. Navy during World War II. In terms of main combat indicators and firepower, it surpassed the famous Japanese Zero fighter jet that dominated the Pacific and Far East battlefields for a while. After entering the battlefield in August 1943, after a series of fierce and cruel air battles, it quickly completely seized the air supremacy that was often controlled by Zero fighters, making great contributions to the Allied victory in the Pacific War. Based on rich relevant historical materials, this book objectively, concretely and vividly describes the design, improvement, mass production and main performance of the F6F "Hellcat" fighter jet after it was put into the battlefield from a purely military perspective.
