Lu Jin was once a genius killer: cultured, courteous, and charming. After helping the police solve the major serial murder case known as “Number One Criminal,” Lu Jin became a police consultant, especially to detective Yue Cheng, and finally won the chance to receive medical parole. He thought he could start a new life with his beloved girlfriend, Yuanyuan, but instead found himself facing a series of fierce, inescapable gun attacks. Their target was none other than Detective Yue Cheng.
Overnight, Yue Cheng became an escaped convict accused of colluding with a gang, taking bribes, and killing to silence witnesses. Meanwhile, pregnant Yuanyuan and her mother are attacked, while Yuanyuan's father behaves strangely... This sudden chain of events leaves Lu Jin, fresh out of prison, at a loss.
A bank money-laundering case? A gang shootout? A killer's game? Who is the real target: Yue Cheng, Lu Jin, Yuanyuan, or is this another battle of wits, with murder as its prize?
A thrilling game of murder and intelligence is about to begin...
