College student Cheng Ming accidentally discovers traces of superpowered individuals during a campus basketball game.
He is then targeted for assassination, but is rescued by Lin Jing, a teaching assistant who has been secretly protecting him.
To escape danger, Cheng Ming is taken by Lin Jing into the “Time Accelerator,” known as Gate No. 1, where he trains to protect himself.
The Time Accelerator distorts space and time, making time pass 36 times faster than in the real world. Cheng Ming trains diligently there and studies the cultural treasures of Great Xia.
When he reemerges, he gradually uncovers his enemies’ schemes, battles the soul-users of Yingzhou, breaks dark sorcery, upholds justice, and brings glory to Great Xia.
He then guards Great Xia’s peace from the secret front lines where no shots are fired.
Along the way, he reunites loved ones and fulfills their wishes, wins the heart of his beloved, and unravels the mystery of the legacy.
In the end, he rises to become the leader of the next generation and the foremost of the 72 Pavilion Elders.
