The Imperial Court's Hounds Aren't Villains

[A secret identity is best when it's almost exposed, but not quite!]

Everyone in the jianghu says the emperor's lackeys are cunning and devious, smiling as they speak while plotting ten moves ahead.

Jing Xiangyi just smiles. “You flatter me, truly.”

A distinguished Imperial Wine Server, a third-rank official,

he's forced to wander the jianghu under a false identity, searching for a secret record by imperial decree.

Along the way, he commits every ruthless deed and does every good turn.

Gentle and refined in public, he always repays a grudge in private.

On his quest, he makes friends by chance. Though each bears the slur “scum of the martial world,” they still follow the path of the righteous.

He can't help but sigh: amid the jianghu's storms, it's hard to tell the ghosts from the heroes!
