In the Sui and Tang Dynasties: My Father Is Yang Guang

Yang Xu transmigrates to the Sui dynasty. The times are turbulent, and despite his family’s comfortable circumstances, he could easily lose his life in the coming war. Facing his mysterious father, Yang Xu makes a bold suggestion.

“Dad, the Sui dynasty is about to fall. Let’s rebel!”

“Rebel? Even you think Yang Guang is a foolish ruler?”

“No! Yang Guang isn’t a foolish ruler! But we can’t afford to delay the rebellion!”

…

Several years later, Yang Xu leads a host of Wagang heroes to the city gates. Even Li Shimin is among his generals.

At this, Yang Guang can no longer keep up the act. He waves his hand and says, “I’m done pretending! I’m your father, Yang Guang!”
