Behemoth: Evolving from a Cretaceous Microbe

"Its body spans galaxies, and it eats planets for food. Those black holes you speak of are just beads of sweat flowing across its body." Textbooks across countless starfield dimensions describe the colossal star beast Li Mubai this way. Reborn in the Cretaceous, it begins evolving from a tardigrade, a creature so small it's measured in micrometers. It swallows titan pythons whole, beats up Tyrannosaurus rex, raises velociraptors as pets, and hunts Godzilla for barbecue. One gulp can drain a river, and one dump creates a mountain. It continues growing until it becomes the greatest star beast in the universe. One day, on a certain planet, the sky is suddenly covered by the shadow of a colossal beast. The next second, a tremendous suction pulls in ten billion creatures, and Li Mubai swallows them whole. This beast solemnly promises: I will remain a beast to the end and never take human form.
