Flowers Like the Years

A sweet, gentle little girl VS a kind, handsome older boy

At the age when first love begins, she met someone she knew she could never be with, yet stubbornly kept chasing after him.

The cicadas chirping on that summer night, the gentle boy: even now, it remains the most beautiful summer in her memories.

“I've never done anything outrageous. The bravest thing I've ever done was refusing to give up on loving you when I was young.”

“I can't imagine how hard this soft-hearted girl must have worked to make her way toward me, one stumbling step at a time. I always feel that loving her isn't enough. I want to give her the very best of everything in the world.”

The girl's sweet yet bittersweet young love eventually turned into a piece of candy.

“What am I to you?” the girl asked angrily.

“You're the girl who makes my heart race,” the boy said, gently patting her head.

The boy made the girl's heart flutter so suddenly, yet so clearly.
