Wen Jiqing, an NPC in the apocalypse game Return, transmigrates into the body of a male university student named Wen Qi in the real world after dying once again. The good news is that he has escaped the game. The bad news is that he's penniless and his mother is seriously ill.
Chosen by the System of a new game, Divine Journey, to take part in a trial, he earns his first bit of money.
In the game, he draws on all the survival skills he learned in the apocalypse and begins his journey as a lord, building up his territory.
