Three years ago, a string of murders shattered the peace of Xingyi Island. Three years later, the survivors are brought back together under the guidance of someone with an agenda. Explosives that could go off at any moment threaten everyone’s lives. They can escape only by taking turns recounting what happened and uncovering the truth behind the murders. The truth from three years ago is shrouded in confusion, while a long-hidden suicide comes to light. How are these events connected? As everything descends into a Rashomon-like maze of conflicting accounts, will the truth finally emerge, and can everyone escape danger?
The plot of this book has ups and downs and suspense, which made me want to keep reading even on the way to deliver the express. The characters in the story are so complex, and everyone has their own secrets, just like the people around us. Moreover, the author's description is very delicate, making me feel like I am on that terrifying desert island. I think this book is a bit like "No One Survived", where a group of people are trapped in one place and die one after another. But "Enter" is more mysterious, and I really want to know what the final truth is.
The rating is a bit low. I have read a lot of Xuan Xian's books and the writing is quite good.
It's beautiful. The author writes about the psychology of each character from different perspectives.
The writing is okay but a bit short. As a script, it would be fine. As a novel, the plot is honestly not rich enough.
