"Resurrection" is Tolstoy's last novel, a summary of the writer's life exploration and thoughts, and is known as the peak of the development of Russian critical realism. Through Maslova's suffering and Nekhludoff's appeal process, the novel extensively and profoundly criticizes the corruption and darkness of courts, prisons, and bureaucracies. It exposes the extravagant and luxurious life of the feudal ruling class and the cruelty, stupidity and inhumanity of reactionary officials. It tears off the hypocrisy of the official church, reflects the bankruptcy of the countryside and the extreme poverty of the farmers, and outlines a social picture of a serfdom Russia that is on the verge of collapse.

This is a bleak and sad story of changes in one's mind! In a specific historical period, the people at the bottom were miserable, helpless and helpless, leading to a hopeless and miserable life! The male protagonist realizes the exploitation and deception of the people by the powerful class, and the disrespect of having children! He wanted to save and change their destiny, so he dedicated all his wealth and love! But unable to change anything, I finally lost my way and believed in Christ!
I hope that there will be more self-reflective people like Nekhludoff in the society, who will do their best to help those who experience suffering and injustice. It's so rare to have done so much.
Nekhludoff was definitely a person with a pure spirit, self-reflection and action. Unfortunately, there are too few such people now!
