"The World of the Eight Banners" written by Ding Yizhuang interviews Yin Jiayou, Fu Gengye, Wu Dinghuan and others, and uses a combination of oral historical materials and documentary research to vividly display the "Beijing flavor" culture in the inner city of old Beijing from a male perspective to readers, such as eating, drinking, playing with flowers, birds, fish and insects, drinking and singing, fighting cocks and running dogs, fighting with fists and wrestling, and walking around to worship. In terms of the selection of interview subjects, the author is not limited to Banner people, but also includes a small number of Han people, which makes the content of this book more exciting and substantial.
